How do Chinese herbs treat COVID-19?

There are numerous media stories which state how the coronavirus is being treated in mainland China with a combination of pharmaceutical drugs and Chinese herbal medicine.  Traditional Chinese Medicine has been used in 85-90% of COVID-19 cases.
